Brewing since 2004, have done some all grain, but I prefer the ease of extract. For those of you that don't keg, you should. I do not know why I took so long to move up. Serving straight from your secondary fermenter is awesome easy. Making big batches, easy because you just daisy chain them together, pitch yeast in the first, and watch the yeast carry through the blowoff hose down the string. Some styles do better in keg (can you say sparkling clear Crystal Wiezen), some don't like my double chocolate milk stout.

This beer is really good. The taste has settled out, for a very nice overall flavor. Not aggressive or overpowering like some browns can be. This is my new brown recipe....no more cascade for this style for me. Also just noticed that this recipe has listed 2 oz of roasted barley twice....oops.

8/28/09 - Finally got around to tasting out of the keg today, good, but not great. I am yet to try the bottle for a comparison. They will go head to head on Sunday (one week after bottling) when my noob friend comes over to brew with me on 8/30/09. Recipe could use some tweeking to fine tune, or maybe aging a little would help. Wait and see on this one.
