Mack and Jacks African Amber clone (2011-11-26 version)

Took some libertys on my first try. First, they don't sell .5 lbs bags of DME at my LHBS so I just added the whole pound. Second, and the reason I added the whole pound, the guy suggest I add some hops at 30 min. Makes sense to me I love hops. A lot. So I threw in .5 ounce of cascade at 30 minutes. I can't wait to try this one. Kegged on 12/12/2011

tasting notes

12/12 Lot's of fruity esters. Maybe I fermented at too high a temp. Maybe it's the english ale yeast Safale 04 that I'm not used to. It's not even kegged or aged yet so we'll see.
